Coming in 39th as a team out of 264 teams is a great thing. Our 3 young wrestlers all went out on the mat and showed they were there for the long haul. Janiece Alcocer and Cianna Riley proved not to just the crowd but to themselves that they belonged as they battled through some tough opponents and were 1 match away from placing but walked out as top 12 in the state of California. We couldnt be more proud of these 2 young wrestlers! Ciara Boyd also came to showcase her skills and rightfully so. Ciara knew that every match would be a grind but made the adjustments needed to walk out a 2019 State Placer as she placed 7th. All 3 state qualifiers are not only thinking of how this tournament was but they all are underclassmen and will be back next year! The future looks very promising for them and their teammates!
